About the movie
'The plot is akin to Vikramadityan and Vedhalam's story. Vikram is an honest cop, but he has his flaws, Vedha is a gangster but has a good side too. What correlation the stories have with. Going with the title, the film is indeed a modern take on the famous Vikram-Vedhalam stories. The director duo subtly puts this across in a couple of instances. There's one scene where Maddy is taking Sethupathi to put an end to his menace in a jeep when the latter, from the back seat, leans on Maddy as if he's on him from the back.
Vikram Vedha is an action crime thriller film written and directed by Pushkar and Gayathri featuring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Kathir play supporting roles.

This movie is based on Vikram Vedha stories, where Vedhalam keeps hanging around Vikram's back and keeps telling stories, the movie is also based on the same line. Here Vedhalam (Vijay Sethupathi) narrates stories to Vikram(Madhavan) to solve a murder mystery.

Acting
R. Madhavan – Madhavan is back with a bang, such an amazing performance , we can see only Vikram a honest cop in this movie and not Maddy , he has performed his role brilliantly , there is a scene where he has to convey something which has happened, he does not utter a single word yet he , wonderfully conveys it through his eyes, that is the power of good acting!!

Overall it is a must watch movie ,movies like this will make people forget about GST, higher ticket prices and will make people to come to theaters, this would be the first tamil movie to be successful post GST.
